Customer Service Supervisor
Jones Apparel Group is currently looking for a Customer Service Supervisor. This position is responsible for managing the entire Order Entry/Compliance Monitoring/Chargeback/Returns function for an entire division(s) to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and orders are not jeopardized. The Customer Service Supervisor will provide direction on work load and prioritizing for up to seven Senior Customer Service Reps and Customer Service Reps. The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining productive business relationships with the sales executives for their respective divisions. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Distribute workload among Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), ensuring each team member has enough work
Resolve informal employee infractions through review of company policies and refers greater issues to management when necessary
Manage employee scheduling for vacations, overtime, etc. for respective divisions
Train new hires on the AS400 system with the use of procedure manuals and hands on presentation
Update/train team members on all new procedures, policies, and compliance rules affecting the team
Monitor and resolve any problems prior to, during, and after shipping for the teams respective divisions (often required to interface with division presidents in addressing problems)
Intervene and resolve problems between vendors, sales force, and staff.
Routinely handle "Supervisor on Duty" function, coordinating department wide work load with other Supervisors
Engage in suggestions for programming changes and modifications for the more efficient processing of the work load
Write and administer yearly performance appraisals for respective team members

Requirements:

Strong organizational skills
Detail oriented
Bachelors degree required
Minimum five years related work experience
Some retail experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of the AS400 system is required
PC literacy required.
Excellent written and verbal skills required
Travel to Rhode Island required
