Commodity Merchandising Fall Semester Intern - Frankfort, IN
This is a part-time, non-exempt level position.

About the Internship

Our commodity merchandiser interns will learn the fundamentals of the business by being immersed in the daily merchandising activities at our Frankfort, IN location.This exciting opportunity will expose students to many aspects of commodity merchandising and will result in a truly meaningful experience.

Commodity Merchandising is being involved with the buying and selling of commodities in the cash market, risk management, as well as making and coordinating transportation of the product.The position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with growers and/or product accounts, including the handling of logistics, accounting, and other customer related issues.Much of a typical day is spent on the telephone, keeping customers aware of current grain market news while buying and selling grain or products. The office environment can be, at times, hectic as market information is shared verbally among the merchandisers. This activity makes the job exciting and challenging.

Requirements

If you have completed approximately 90 semester hours, or within two-four semesters of graduation, and maintain a minimum of 2.8 GPA with a degree focus in an agriculture or business related field, with demonstrated leadership qualities and a conscientious work ethic, then please submit your online application on our Web site, www.adm.jobs.
