Construction Project Manager
Title: Construction Project Manager Location: null Other Locations: null The following position description contains representative examples of work that will be performed in positions allocated to this classification. Accordingly, associates may be asked to perform duties that are outside the specific functions that are listed.
As a member of the Construction Team this individual will be responsible for estimating and managing construction projects ranging from $300,000 to$1,500,000 per year with an emphasis in restaurant renovation and new restaurant building construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES · Individual must be able to assist with due diligence, conceptually estimate and negotiate trade contracts, and must schedule hard bid and close out a wide range of restaurant projects · Participate in development and reconciliation of capital estimates · Drive a strong safety focus both in the design of the facility and the execution of the field construction · Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases · Ensure construction administration process is developed and executed in the best interest of Bloomin'' Brands, Inc. · Manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking · Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes · Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing · Responsible for the development of the project schedule and schedule updates · Perform project close out including final paperwork, job walk through and any other follow up items with restaurant Managing Partner/Joint Venture Partner REQUIREMENTS
Education: · Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering, preferred
Experience/Skills: · 5 years experience in the restaurant & retail industry · Project management experience with new and renovation type construction · Initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams · Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up · Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks as well as work well under pressure in a fast paced environment · Ability to travel 2-3 days/wk
