Position Description/Responsibilities:
* The Cost/Trend Engineer will be responsible for the supervision of cost analysis, control and quantity surveying activities within the assigned area. * Facilitates continuous interface with area personnel pertaining to verification of changes and deviations. * Provides a combination of supervision and hands on ability, in addition to demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and providing innovative solutions to Cost/Trend Engineering problems. * Provides Cost/Trend Engineering guidance. * Responsible for the identification, development and work process management of trends and change orders. * Write change orders for customer review and coordinates implementation of approved changes into Project Controls tools. * Provide assistance to area disciplines ensuring and monitoring accurate cost, time schedules and related deviations.
Basic Qualifications:
* Associate''s degree required. Bachelor''s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Business Management strongly preferred. * Minimum five (5) years cost experience for a major EPC firm. * Experience and demonstrated skill in directing Cost/Trend Engineering functions including cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis. * Skilled in providing direction and training of technical and non-technical personnel and demonstrated leadership skills in a team-based environment. * Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skills in presenting information to management/clients. * Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and solving problems. * Experience in the preparation of cost/benefit analysis, cost planning, change control cost estimation, dispute resolution and control of construction cost. * Demonstrated ability to chair an inter-discipline weekly trend meeting to review and status current trends and changes.
