Job Description: Position Accountabilities * Ensures that Design and Product Development teams meet division objectives. * Ensures product styling and updated fashion trends are developed to meet customer/market needs and to grow the business. * Ensures on-time input (where applicable) and delivery of product. * Ensures sourcing countries have complete, accurate, and timely information about product needed to complete samples and production. * Ensures products are developed in accordance with Licensor requirements, where applicable. Position Essential Functions
* Provide supervision and work direction for Design and Product Development team members. * Provide coaching and performance management for staff. * Shop retail markets to research and translate trends to our footwear accordingly. * Communicate with sourcing countries on an on-going basis to advise of product changes, additional needs, and new development and production issues. * Communicate with sales (where applicable) and sourcing on material and finishing problems or quality issues. * Maintain appropriate systems with additions of new items, detailing of new colors and styles, and changes/modifications to product. * Research materials and/or colors for new product development. * Detail product lines. * Travel to retailers with Sales team to develop products based on specific needs. * Work with Licensors, where applicable, to ensure products meet with their approval. Position Specifications Educational Preferences College degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience Preferences * Minimum of 5 years Design or Product Development experience in the footwear and/or fashion industry. Athletic design background a plus. * Knowledge of footwear constructions, parts and terminology is required, along with detailing experience * Excellent verbal communication and presentation experience * Experience with licensing relationships (where applicable) * Leadership and people management * Ability to prioritize tasks * Strong partnering skills; problem soliving and analytical skills Computer Proficiency Preference
* Microsoft Office Products * Photoshop/Illustrator * PLM experience is beneficial (or similar system) * Experience with SAP AFS is beneficial
