As a Category Financial Director for North America, you will be responsible for category business planning for at a senior level. Â You''ll work closely with the Category General Manager and Leadership Team to set and achieve business and financial goals. Â Your primary responsibilities would include: - Direct support of the Category General Manager for Revenue & Gross Margin management, strategy and business planning - Lead the three-year long term strategic planning process, annual budgeting process, and quarterly business reviews - Participating in cross-functional discussions and initiatives, providing input into category planning - Leading the preparation and distribution of timely and insightful financial analysis of pertinent information to determine progress against strategic plans, budget, forecast, and to support external financial decisions; actively interpret and review financial results with business managers, including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses - Perform analysis that aids in the decision making process and helps improve profitability as well as on new business opportunities, which include scenario and investment analysis - Partner closely with our Revenue/Gross Margin Director to develop robust plans to drive long-term profitability for the category Doing all this requires a unique individual, someone who brings tremendous energy and passion to the business and enjoys the autonomy and ability to influence across the entire business enterprise. Â Success will depend on your ability to quickly form partnerships with colleagues and drive towards organizational goals.368742 QualificationsRequirements for the position include: - Bachelor''s degree in a Business related field with emphasis in finance, economics - MBA or advanced degree is preferred - 7+ years experience with financial analysis, P&L management, and strategic planning (2 additional years experience in lieu of an advanced degree) - 3 years proven leadership experience working with top-level leaders - Strong knowledge of budgeting, investment analysis, and strategic planning concepts - Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally - Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities - Standout, positive attitude and enthusiasm to drive business results
