  • Village Green Landscapes is a locally owned and operated full-scale landscape company serving the Twin City metro area with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage.
    Village Green Landscapes is looking for a full time Lawn Chemical Technician. This position is responsible for applying chemicals for weed control and fertilizer. Position is open in our St. Paul or Brooklyn Park location.

    Possibility for full-time year- round employment if the candidate is interested in commercial snow removal in the winter months. Benefits eligibility with year round employment.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position serves as a key team member to ensure our customer properties are beautiful, safe, and well maintained. Our Lawn Care Technician position provides application of fertilizers and pesticides for the purposes of lawn growth, tree, ornamental turf preservation, and weed control for our customer properties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Responsible for handling, mixing, and application of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and chemicals via dry and liquid machines
    • Operates and maintains all equipment within company safety and preventive maintenance standards
    • Maintains records of job status
    • Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology to track and report jobs
    • Provides excellent customer service
    • Works collaboratively with the team and company leadership
    • Works autonomously demonstrating strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Commercial Pesticide Applicator license for core (A) and turf & ornaments (E) required or able to attain within 30 days of employment.
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
    • Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one
    • Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug test

    Compensation details: 27-32 Hourly Wage
